Spicy Balanced Living
A rainbow chakra companion made in Little Rock, Guyana — for people who want to feel better without pretending their life is simpler than it is.
Spicy Balanced Living began as a set of notes to self. Naomi Christie — known on air simply as Spicy — had spent years talking to a country through a microphone at 88.5 Rock FM, and kept meeting the same thing off air: people who were coping, but not living; capable, but exhausted; spiritual on Sunday and frantic by Tuesday.
What helped was never complicated. A longer out-breath. A meal eaten sitting down. One honest sentence said out loud. A walk with no purpose. The chakra map turned out to be a good filing system for those small repairs — seven questions, from the ground up, that a person can actually work with.
What this site is
A daily companion
Each day of the week carries a chakra: a teaching, an affirmation, a practice, a food note and a short journal prompt. Open it in the morning, use it, close it.
A meditation room
Seven guided practices paired with moving nature footage — water, forest, horizon and last light — plus a sleep practice and a three-minute desk reset.
A teaching library
Plain-language writing on the chakras and on what Patanjali, the Buddha, Lao Tzu, Rumi and Ayurveda actually said, with the mystique removed.
A private journal
Your entries are stored on your own device, not on our servers. Nobody reads them. Not even us.
What this site is not
It is not therapy, not medicine, and not a religion. It will not tell you that your illness is a vibration problem or that you can manifest your way out of a real emergency. Where professional help is the right answer, we will say so.
The book
The Spicy Guide to Balance Living: Unlocking the Universe by Naomi Christie and Justus Rock was published in July 2026 and is available on Amazon Kindle. The book is the long form; this site is the daily practice. You do not need one to use the other.
On the radio
Spicy broadcasts on 88.5 Rock FM from Little Rock, Guyana. The home page carries a live link when the studio is on air.
How this site is paid for
Everything here is free to read. The site carries advertising through Google AdSense, which covers hosting and keeps the writing free. We do not sell your data and we do not run sponsored posts dressed up as teaching. Details are in the privacy policy.
